How to enter used material quantities when in the field?

The CloseOut application enables tracking of planned and actual material quantities during project rollout, either at the project level or work segment level. As part of project and work segment administration, a list of materials intended for use in work segments or clusters can be imported. Once the material list is imported through administration, a new Material list section appears on top of the site's workflow, where field workers can now enter their material consumption as the work is performed.  

 

 

Clicking on Material list inside the site on mobile app, opens up the full material inventory list, where users can now enter the quantities used as they progress through the project. As the list is embedded in the app through the before mentioned import, the users only need to input the quantities used and do not need to burden themselves of knowing item codes and other material related information. They simply click an item from the list, enter quantity and comment if necessary and click OK. The entry then gets submitted for an approval by person in charge of validating material consumption, who in real time can comment if needed and Approve or Reject the submission from the field.   

Clicking on History, field users can see all the submitted material entries, their status (Pending, Approved, Rejected), quantity submitted vs planned, and full details of each entry where they can edit their previous quantity submissions, which will result in a repeated resubmission to the material validator. The validation can happen in real time, and any comments or rejections are instantly sent to field users as notifications inside the mobile app.
