You can assign weighting factors and track specific milestones with dates on workflow positions, independent of the automatically calculated percentages.
In control panel, click on pyramid icon to navigate to Milestones view
A list of sites with their corresponding milestones will be displayed. Milestones are defined at the Project Template level (see How to set Milestones) Each site will show the total number of milestones, along with their percentage factor, planned and actual dates. If a milestone is completed after its planned date, it will be highlighted in red. If it's inside of the planned date, it will be highlighted in green.
Why are Milestones important?
The project completion statistics are automatically calculated for the entire structure but may not be relevant to everyone involved. For example, a project manager might not want to see updated progress before work actually begins. To address this in CloseOut, they can define the starting point using Milestones. Additionally, this serves as a project management tool that relies on quality-controlled approval positions to trigger Milestones—unlike many other tools where project milestones can be set manually without structured and verified quality control.
