CloseOut supports centralized ENUM updates for workflows, improving consistency and reducing manual edits. Learn what changed with the new update and how it works.
Background
Before October 16th, 2025, ENUMs could be managed from Administration → Settings → Enums, but updates made here did not propagate to workflows where those ENUMs were already assigned.
If an ENUM was used in multiple workflows, you had to edit it individually in each workflow, which was time-consuming and error prone.
What Changed
As of October 16th, 2025, CloseOut introduces centralized ENUM update propagation:
- Any ENUM created after this date and managed from the master list in Administration → Settings → ENUMs will automatically reflect changes (adding, removing, or editing terms) in all workflows where it is used.
-
ENUMs created before October 16th, 2025 remain static, or in other words updates made in the master list will not propagate to workflows.
If you want updates to propagate for an older ENUM, you must recreate it after this date.
This enhancement allows for true centralized management of ENUMs. You can now maintain ENUMs in one place and ensure all workflows stay aligned without manually editing each workflow.
Pro Tip
To take advantage of this feature, create or recreate ENUMs in Administration → Settings → Enums after October 16, 2025. Updates made here will automatically sync with all workflows using that ENUM.
